Tryon International Equestrian Center is located right here in Polk County, NC. Known for it's deep-seated "Equestrian" roots, Polk County offers a variety of property types with awe-inspiring architecture throughout Tryon, Columbus, and Mill Spring.
From some of the most impeccable equestrian farms you'll ever lay eyes on to the serene lakefront cabins and estates on Lake Adger, treetop living on White Oak Mountain, and fantastic golf at the Tom Fazio designed Bright's Creek Golf Club, you'll find it all within minutes of TIEC.
It's also home to the fantastic Tryon Arts and Crafts School, multiple Vineyards, great food like Side Street Pizza & Caro-Mi Dining Room, and remarkable outdoor adventures like hiking to 'Little Bradley Falls' in Saluda.

Rutherford County is Polk's 'Sister to the East' and is home to some of the most affordable, yet beautiful, properties in the area.
Lake Lure is only 20 minutes from TIEC and is Rutherford County's most popular destination for visitors to 'Stay & Play' when visiting for a vacation or a show at TIEC. The Lodge on Lake Lure is a great place to stay, or try the iconic Lake Lure Inn & Spa or the Esmeralda Inn just a few miles north of Lake Lure.
You'll also find a host of great restaurants like Rutherford Thai, Barleys Taproom & Pizzeria, and Moe's BBQ in nearby Rutherfordton, Spindale, and Forest City.
The area is also home to some amazing outdoor recreation such as the gorgeous Chimney Rock State Park in Chimney Rock adjacent to Lake Lure. And, if you enjoy water activities, don't forget to arrange for a day on the lake with our friends at Lake Lure Adventure Company or enjoy the plethora of amenities available over at Rumbling Bald Resort.
Henderson County is home to Hendersonville, the largest city in the immediate area surrounding TIEC, and only a short 25 minute drive from the center.
With a historic downtown, Hendersonville offers iconic shopping at places like Mast General Store, as well as the fantastic cuisine at local favorites Postero and UMI, and you can't miss the experience of touring Sierra Nevada's East Coast Brewery in Mills River.
You'll also find great entertainment at venues such as the Flat Rock Playhouse, the Carl Sandburg Historic National Home, a visit to one of the many apple orchards like Skytop Apple Orchard, or a fun-filled Summer afternoon at the annual NC Apple Festival in Downtown Hendersonville.
